Sagittarius New Moon - Release Limited Thinking And Expand Into Your Bigger Life

The Sagittarius New Moon renews your faith in a positive future and fires up your inspiration to expand in a new direction. The Sun and Moon square Neptune in Pisces, activating your soul’s longing to live your big dreams and take action on your spiritual ideals.

Harmonizing with Chiron and the North Node in Aries - the sign of the self - this New Moon challenges you to go beyond old, wound-informed stories about who you are and what you’re capable of. How would you act, what courageous steps would you take, if you were really grounded in the truth of your infinite, all-powerful soul self?

However! The New Moon cautions against rash, overly impulsive, unrealistic action. Jupiter, ruler of both Sagittarius and Pisces, is retrograde in Taurus. “Slow and steady wins the race” and “How you do it is what you get.” Move at a speed that feels comfortable to your body, and enjoy the process, rather than going for the quick fix or instant results.

Jupiter retro in Taurus can also point to underlying issues of worthiness, havingness or deservingness. Do you believe you deserve to live the life of your dreams? What old, self-limiting stories are ready to be cleared so you can expand into new, more fulfilling territory?

Echoing and reinforcing the guidance to move slowly, and to reexamine your beliefs, Mercury turns retrograde just after the New Moon. You can be sure that you don’t yet have all the necessary information to move forward, and there may be unfinished business that needs to be completed before you can successfully launch the new.

Mercury starts out its retro in Capricorn, calling for mental focus and discipline in order to clarify and manifest your long-term goals. The distortion of Mercury in Capricorn can be limited, rigid or fearful thinking.

Mercury will retrograde back into Sag, and form two more squares with Neptune. Are your long-term goals aligned with your spiritual ideals and mission, with your big dreams? Are you limiting your potential by being overly attached to how your life “should” look - versus being open to divine, intuitive guidance and trusting life’s mysterious flow?

Jupiter will start moving forward again on December 31st, followed by Mercury turning direct on January 1st. The next lunar cycle, starting at the Capricorn New Moon on January 11th, will be a time of powerful manifestation.
