Sagittarius Full Moon + Jupiter in Cancer - Initiation Into New Emotional Territory

Wild times!! This week features some of the most DYNAMIC astrology of the year - initiations, turning points, and unexpected curveballs… The Full Moon, always the energetic and emotional peak of the moonth, cranks up the volume on these cosmic events. You may be feeling under pressure, overwhelmed and stressed-out, as the swirling, stormy energies ramp up.

In Sagittarius, the Full Moon reminds you to look beyond the immediate facts and details of the situation, beyond the mind’s worry and anxiety, and tune into the bigger picture and higher perspective.

The Sag Full Moon asks: What’s the deeper meaning behind external events? What would be the most positive outcome? What guidance are you receiving from your instincts and intuition? What’s the risk you’re being called to take, or the new adventure you’re inspired to step into?

Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, moves into Cancer today (5:02pm Eastern), just in time for the Full Moon. The shift from Gemini to Cancer is a major empowerment for the planet of expansion, abundance and faith. While Jupiter is in its detriment or exile (not so happy) in Gemini, it’s exalted (VERY strong) in Cancer. The last time Jupiter was in Cancer was June 2013 to July 2014.

With Jupiter in watery Cancer for the next year, you can attract opportunities and increase your luck by tuning into, trusting and acting on your deep instincts, by being receptive and responsive to the fluid, fast-changing flow of Life.

Cancer rules home and the sense of feeling at home - safe, nurtured and in intimate communion with the life around you. Jupiter in Cancer wants to expand your feeling of belonging, your INNER sense of security and self-trust, no matter what craziness is happening “out there.”

As Jupiter enters Cancer, it forms a tense square with Saturn and Neptune in Aries, catalyzing changes that have been brewing since last summer. Jupiter-Saturn is a cycle of creation, the challenge to bring your big ideas (Jupiter) into earthly form (Saturn). The first two Jupiter-Saturn squares, in August and December 2024, were preparing you for the third and final square - the end result - exact on June 15th.

Neptune’s involvement in the final square reminds you to listen to your soul’s guidance, to be sure that your creations are in alignment with your divine mission. Neptune can also bring in the element of MYSTERY - know that you can still take action and move forward without having all the details or the perfect plan.

Follow your inner FIRE (Aries) - your vitality and passion - as well as your heart’s deep knowing (Cancer). Reality-check Saturn helps you discern the difference between delusional fantasy and inspired divine directive.

The Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries - the initiatory first sign of identity, the I AM - invites you to open to a new understanding of self. What old versions of self, conditioned beliefs and programs about who you are, need to dissolve so you can step into a new story?
