A Chirotic Cancer Full Moon - Vulnerability, Healing and Surrender

The energy is building toward the peak of the lunar cycle that started on December 12th with the Sagittarius New Moon – a seed-planting for expanding into your bigger self and a re-ignition of your faith that you’re worthy of living the life of your dreams.

Now, the Cancer Full Moon lights up any subconscious blocks that keep you stuck in your small self, and supports you to dissolve and surrender old pain and unhealthy emotional attachments. The Full Moon harmonizes with both Jupiter and Saturn, lending strength, stability and self-trust as you ride the tides of deep feeling.

Coinciding with the Full Moon – and amplifying its healing potential – Chiron turns from retrograde to direct (forward) just 90 minutes after the Full Moon perfects. Chiron has been retrograde since July 23rd, and the past five months have been a time of deep inner work on wounds related to identity, authenticity, confidence, and personal power.

As Chiron starts moving forward again, and approaches its conjunction with the North Node – exact in February – it’s time to express the truth of who you are with renewed courage and clarity.

The combination of Chiron’s station with the Cancer Full Moon emphasizes the importance of vulnerability. Rather than armoring yourself with a tough crab shell, this is a time to lead with your open, soft, undefended human heart. Know that everyone’s sensitivity and potential to take things personally is likely to be stirred up at this Full Moon – lean into allowance, compassion, acceptance and forgiveness.

Retrograde Mercury and out-of-bounds Mars conjoin in Sagittarius, square Neptune and trine the North Node. The higher potential is to hold a powerful focus to direct your thoughts and actions toward your spiritual ideals and big dreams, and to speak your truth with love and compassion.

The LESS conscious potential is to react with anger and lash out in righteousness and judgment – speaking and acting in ways you are likely to regret later. This is a time to slow down, be very conscious of how you’re aiming the arrows of your thoughts and words, and be wary of the potential to get caught up in illusory projections about other people.
